Creating a Balanced Weekly Plan with Dog Enrichment Activities: Tailoring a Daily Dog Routine for Custom Canine Care

Before planning your dog enrichment activities for the week, remember that enrichment:
-
Is an ongoing endeavor, not a singular event
-
Is only enriching if your pup chooses to interact and is positively affected by it (if an activity creates more frustration, stress, or overstimulation, consider an alternative)
-
Is specific to the individual dogs’ needs
Your daily dog routine should include multiple opportunities across a variety of activities. You do not have to meet all aspects of enrichment each day, but you should try to have enough variety and balance to fill the week.
For each day, pick a primary activity in the (P)hysical, and (So)cial or (C)ognitive categories, and an additional secondary activity from (So)cial, (C)ognitive, (F)ood or (S)ensory categories.

Make sure to keep notes on your pup’s progress with each activity, before and after behavior, and any feedback on that particular activity to support custom canine care and ensure you're offering the most beneficial dog enrichment activities as part of a balanced daily dog routine.
